Danny Seaman is an Israeli political commentator, media analyst, and radio broadcaster with over 31 years of experience in the Israeli government. Danny’s former positions include Deputy Director General of the Ministry of Public Diplomacy and Diaspora Affairs, Director of the Government Press Office (GPO) under the Prime Minister’s Office, coordinating with foreign media in Israel, and the IDF Spokesperson’s foreign press liaison. Seaman is the author of Israel and the Foreign Media, a book analyzing how Israel is portrayed by international outlets.
Born on a U.S. Air Force base in Frankfurt in 1961, Seaman’s family immigrated to Israel in 1971, settling in Ashkelon. He served in the IDF as part of an elite paratrooper unit and is a veteran of the First Lebanon War. Seaman continued his service as a paratrooper in the reserves for 25 years. He graduated Summa Cum Laude in Political Science from Hunter College, City University of New York, while working at the Consulate General of Israel in New York.
