Teens of CTeen Newton enjoyed making their own fruit smoothies in honor of Tu Bshvat! They discussed the significance of the holiday and enjoyed a fun exercise learning about their personality strengths and weaknesses. The teens showed their artistic talents by designing creative decorated pens for women in a domestic abuse shelter. It was a full night of learning, fun and giving to others!
Beth Menachem Chabad brought Chanukah fun to Whole Foods shoppers. Children enjoyed crafting healthy edible Menorahs and searching an "I Spy' Chanukah Scene. With a Dreidel Mascot, Gluten-free latkes and a Menorah lighting, it was an enjoyable afternoon for all!
Hundreds of Newton South High School students were greeted with hot latkes and fresh sufganiyot jelly donuts on the 4th day of Chanukah as they were dismissed from class. Students had an opportunity to learn about Chanukah and experience the cultural foods of the holiday. The event was organized by CTeen Newton student group. For the second year in a row, a Sukkah was put up at Newton South High School. Arranged by the teens of CTeen Newton. Hundreds of teens (& staff members) enjoyed free pizza, seeing the sukkah at school, shaking the lulav and etrog & fun games! Thanks to all who helped set up and take down the Sukkah.
CTeen Newton kicked off the year with its first event with a BBQ! Teens had fun baking cakes for the community Yom Kippur break-fast. We spoke about Sandy Koufax's brave and historical commitment to Yom Kippur and discussed if we have that same courage and commitment. The student leaders introduced CTeen's programs and mission and gave an overview of the highlight event of the year, the NY Shabbaton Weekend! The get-to-know-you game was an exciting way to meet new friends and learn new things about old ones! Looking forward to our 3rd year of CTeen together!
Adults and children alike enjoyed creating a make 'n' take raw apple crisp, apple tasting and a honey Bar at Whole Foods! Participants learned about the flavors and traditions of Rosh Hashanah and got to experience the sounding of the shofar. It was a fun event for all!

Beth Menachem Chabad brought Shavuot Fun to Whole Foods today! Creating edible flowers out of fruit and eating ice cream was truly enjoyed by all!
What a fantastic and fun evening! 40 Women joined together for a pre-Shavuot Women's Night Out. Thank you to our generous Alla Urman for graciously hosting the event.While enjoying a delectable dessert bar and munching on snacks the women learned about the importance of Shavuot and the special connection this holiday has to women. The night wasn't complete without learning the art of baking cheesecakes with Itty. Everyone brought home their own cheesecakes. Chag Sameach and Happy Shavuot to all!
CTeen Newton gathered around the bonfire to mark Lag Baomer. Teens tie-dyed "onesies" for newborn babies in the hospital in the NICU. After roasting s'mores, the teens played a game which led into heated discussions about various topics that today's teens are faced with.
Three CTeen chapters joined together for an incredible Shabbaton! Over Shabbat teens enjoyed informative and inspirational talks from various rabbis, rebbetzins, and from a doctor and an attorney. Teens bonded over entertaining activities and interactive workshops. Saturday night was filled with fun and laughter with a grand laser tag game, arcades and more followed by midnight pizza. On Sunday morning teens shared their reflections of the weekend over breakfast before heading home.
On Chanukah CTeen Newton crafted keychains for the IDF Soldiers and wrote letters of thanks for their work in protecting our land. The soldiers received the packages and thanked the teens for their thoughtfulness.
