Children experienced first hand how Shmurah Matzah is made - literally from
"scratch". Starting with grinding the wheat, mixing the flour and water,
rolling out the dough, poking holes, and finally baking our own Matzahs!
The Model Matzah Bakery generated excitement for Passover and a renewed
appreciation of Matzah Shmurah!
Each participant received an authentic Kosher for Passover Matzah to take
home.

CTeen Newton threw a Chanukah party just for seniors! On the eighth night of Chanukah, the teens played a fun game of dreidel, sang familiar Chanukah songs and lit the Menorah with a room full of Seniors! They also read a jumbo, over-sized book with descriptive illustrations about the story of Chanukah . It was a great evening for the teens and seniors alike and a wonderful way to end the holiday.
After a stupendous Sukkah at South... CTeen Newton sponsored a Chanukah Party for all high school students at Newton South High School. Hundreds enjoyed fresh hot latkes and sufganiyot. A teen was honored with lighting the large Menorah prominently displayed in the lobby!
CTeen Newton enjoyed a fun and informative event.
In preparation for Chanukah, teens decorated a large collection box to collect canned foods to build a Can-Menorah and to later be donated to a food pantry.
With special guest, Rabbi Shmuel Posner, the floor was open for the teens to ask any burning questions. Rabbi Posner answered and discussed all the questions for close to two hours. Rabbi Posner concluded with advice to the Seniors embarking to College.

CTeen Newton gathered on Wednesday night for their Rosh Hashana-themed kickoff event! Considering the situation in Ukraine, they created hand puppets and wrote cards to Jewish children there who have been affected by the unrest. Rabbi Shalom Ber taught an inspiring lesson about the meaning of the Jewish New Year and of blowing the shofar. Then, after an icebreaker, the teens made and decorated sweet candied apples! What an amazing start to an amazing year with CTeen Newton!
